RESEARCH ON THE EFFECT OF SPECIAL ORGANIC SMALL MOLECULES WITH HYDROXYLS ON PROPERTIES OF DAMPING FUNCTIONAL MATERIALS

Abstract:

The damping functional materials modified by the special organic small molecules with hydroxyls were prepared by mechanical blending to obtain obvious damping promotions through the hydrogen bond in or between the special organics small molecules. The effect of the type and the amount of the organic small molecule modifiers on the mechanical properties, dynamic mechanical properties and the glass transition temperatures on the matrix of rubber damping materials were researched. The results show that maintaining the necessary mechanical properties, the organic small molecules also can increase damping peak values and broaden the ranges of the glass transition temperatures of the damping materials.
