Flexible Polyurethane Foam is widely used material as supporting pad like in mattresses, upholstered furniture and car seats, pillow fillings and also shoulder pad of garment, benefiting from its’ low density , good breathability, Sound Absorption, thermal insulation, and perfect elastic resilience.
Depending on polyols, Flexible Polyurethane can be divided into two types, one is polyester type another is polyether type. The polyether flexible polyurethane has better elastic resilience than polyester ones. That’s why most of the support pad material like garments and sponge are polyether type.
However, polyether Flexible PU foam tend to go yellowing in processing and end application by limits of high foaming temperature and UV radiation.
Consequently, a new stabilizer of good thermal stability and UV Absorption for flexible polyurethane is becoming the focus of international companies.
